Please say which device and which version of FileArk you are on — it is at the bottom of
Settings, for example 28 (0.5.6).
On iPhone and iPad, FileArk starts in its own folder, which is empty on a fresh install. That same folder appears in Apple's Files app under On My iPhone → FileArk, so you can drag anything into it. You can also add another folder — including iCloud Drive or a folder from another app — with Add storage on the Home screen.
iOS does not let any app browse the whole device. Apps see their own folder, the photo library if you allow it, and any folder you hand them. That is a rule of the system, not a limitation we chose.
Because that tab lists your photos and videos as files — with their real names, sizes and dates — and lets you copy them into a folder or delete them. A picker cannot do that. If you prefer, choose Select Photos… and FileArk will only ever see the ones you picked. Nothing is ever uploaded: see the privacy policy.
With Local network, both devices have to be on the same network, and that network must not have client isolation enabled (some guest Wi-Fi networks do). The transfer is direct between the two devices; nothing goes through a server of ours, which is also why there is nothing to sign into.
Open Settings and use Restore purchases. Pro is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, so it comes back on any device signed in with the same account. If it still does not restore, write to us with the date of the purchase.
On iPhone and iPad it creates and extracts ZIP (also with a password), TAR and TAR.GZ, and reads 7z. It connects to network storage over SMB, SFTP, FTP, WebDAV and S3-compatible services, and to Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile and Synology, with a step-by-step guide for each.
FileArk has no account and stores nothing about you on any server, so there is nothing to delete on our side. For the advertising identifier, see the privacy policy.
